Award-winning AF Consultancy Ltd specialises in Excise and Business development within alcohol, tobacco, Environmental Taxes and Betting & Gaming.

As a former HMRC auditor, Anita Farmer set up the business in 2017 and already works with 24 of the 34 distilleries in Ireland. During the start of the pandemic, she helped bring together Northern Ireland’s distilleries to pivot to the production of hand sanitising gel, which was in great demand.

As a consultant she helps businesses comply with all the rules and regulations in their industry, meeting all the legal and technical requirements to set up and trade successfully. But she explains that she does much more than that, working to help her clients with a huge range of issues such as sourcing products and services and connecting them to new contacts.
