Meet our businesses: Graffiti Recruitment & DigiSkills
Graffiti is a growing, award-winning recruitment and training company started by Julie McGrath in 2016. They are experts at sourcing professional staff for placement in temporary, contract and permanent positions.

In 2020, Julie joined forces with Imelda Ward to form DigiSkills in response to the skills shortage felt acutely during the pandemic. They have provided key support assisting businesses, as well as charities and community and voluntary organisations, to digitise and train staff.

In addition, the company works with people from some of the most socially deprived areas to improve digital and technological skills to help them find meaningful employment and better access online communications.

What Julie says about IF:
“The team at Innovation Factory have helped us network to reach a broader market. Within the community, they have excellent contacts that enabled us to reach out to community groups and youth clubs that could benefit most from digital support. In addition, they introduced us to a number of businesses and organisations that urgently needed to digitise and train staff.”

What we say:
Shane Smith, Innovation Factory Community Engagement Manager said:
“The pandemic highlighted a huge underlying digital skills gap within our local communities, be that parents being unable to help their children with schoolwork, people being isolated because they are unable to connect with others and young people struggling to cope with on-line and virtual recruitment. Graffiti and DigiSkills pivoted very quickly to provide training and develop the skills of local ‘Digital Champions’ to offer this support and provide a lifeline to so many. This crucial work helps connect IF to our surrounding community.”
