SUMMARY:The Business of Net Zero
DESCRIPTION:The latest UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) climate report sent shockwaves around the world\, highlighting that we have moved from a climate emergency to a climate crisis at an alarming speed. This will impact every corner of the economy and everyone has a role to play. \nWhether you operate within the ‘green sector’ or not\, climate action will increasingly influence how you do business\, right from the beginning of your journey. All SMEs need to embrace this beyond simple compliance and exploit opportunities through their model and practice. The Northern Ireland economy is dominated by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) so they will have a huge influence on protecting environment and the sooner they get on board\, the better. \nUsing case studies\, this seminar will show practical examples of businesses that have benefited from embracing net zero practices\, from understanding their carbon footprint\, setting a vision for their organisation\, and identifying efficiencies and actions that set them on a path to net zero.

SUMMARY:NoCode Masterclass
DESCRIPTION:Description: \nBuilding and design applications has been transformed by the advent of a massive range of online tools. With these tools and the many possible interactions\, a movement has formed around building and creating apps and websites without using any code. \nThis NoCode movement as its sometimes labelled is in its infancy and in this masterclass we are going to run through some of the main ideas and topics underpinning it all. \nObviously no code experience is required\, you just need a certain comfort and familiarity with using online applications and web apps. As a field NoCode is not one thing\, so be prepared for lots of little tools and different concepts that you need to knit together. It’s not complicated and notes and links on all tools used will be supplied. \nFree Personal One to One Mentoring is available after the course!!! \nOutput Aims: \n• Key aims of the no code movement \n• The main ideas and tools that are used to build applications without any code \n• The principal of an API and the interconnections \n• How to think about your initial application in way that minimises effort and increases the speed you can release it into the world \nCompany Description: \nEducated Machine is both a Development and Training company. SUMMARY:Rewarding Innovation: How to reclaim HMRC’s R&D Tax Credit Incentive.
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Overview: \nThis workshop will be very helpful for businesses that have either already been innovating within their field or who are considering a new project which has an unknown outcome. \nHMRC created the R&D Tax incentive scheme in 2000 and it is now the largest tax incentive that they offer. It is in place to reward innovation and problem-solving for limited companies in the UK & ROI (ROI scheme is governed by Revenue Commissioners). \nIf a business has spent time and capital to solve or attempt to solve a problem which could drive their sector forward\, there is a good chance that they qualify for a tax reclaim.\nThe reclaim can be taken as a deduction to future corporation tax or can also be taken as a cash payment. Businesses who are making losses are also able to claim the benefit. \nThis workshop is facilitated by Amplifi Solutions who work to optimise claims for companies\, whilst ensuring all claims are accurately prepared and defendable under any HMRC or revenue commissioners scrutiny. \nDavid Stewart\, Head of NI Corporate Tax Office\, will speak about how HMRC can support innovative companies and will be on hand to answer any queries. \nClaire Stewart will speak about the support that a commercially minded accountant can give to businesses who are continually looking to evolve. \nFinally\, Pearse McAnallen from Invest NI will be on hand to give some further guidance on what value they can offer to growing companies who are overcoming hurdles in their own business. \nOutput Aims: \n-Does my business qualify?\n-What do I need to be doing to ensure that I qualify in future?\n-Are there any associated costs/barriers?\n-What is the process to making a claim? \nWho is it for ? \n-Young businesses who are creating a new product/service\n-Businesses who are working/have worked on an innovative project\n-Established businesses who have implemented a new process/system\n-Advisors to above businesses \nWho are Amplifi Solutions? \nAmplifi Solutions work with innovative businesses and their advisors across the UK and ROI to provide expertise and technical advice on claiming tax incentives – namely the R&D Tax Credit Scheme. Amplifi have a highly experienced team which includes qualified accountants and technical experts with backgrounds in mechanical engineering\, electrical engineering and software engineering. \n  \n \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n
